After shipping out a couple of defencemen at the trade deadline in the spring, the Winnipeg Jets are stocking their cupboards.
The Jets have signed blue-liner Mario Ferraro to a three-year, $12 milliion contract, the team announced on Wednesday.
Ferraro, 27, was one of the more sought-after defencemen on the market after a solid season with the Sharks in the 2025-26 campaign. He finished with seven goals and 16 assists while lacing up for all 82 regular-season games.
A native of Toronto, Ferraro has 24 goals and 90 assists over 490 career NHL games, all of which have come with the Sharks.
Ferraro was drafted 49th overall by the Sharks in 2017, and he debuted in the 2019-20 season after a few seasons playing college hockey at UMass-Amherst.
